Day 6 & 7 - The Weekend!
Now, the weekend. I am most definitely a creature of habit – I always eat breakfast, I drink 2-3 litres of water a day, I like to have a shower every night before bed, the dishwasher must be turned on every night etc. etc. My routine doesn’t really change on the weekend in that I still get up at about 6am (I refuse to get up any earlier!) and walk the dog first thing. If hubby is working on the weekend then it’s generally not that much different to a weekday so we go to bed f

Day 5 - Trials and Triumphs
Well, I can honestly say that the whole morning I did not think about having a coffee until about 11am. And it was more of a “a hot drink would be nice – oooh coffee!” thought, than a “my brain is foggy, I need a coffee” thought. I did have an incredibly rejuvenating green juice for breakfast (click here for the recipe!), which I think gave me a nice boost to start my day. I watched a video last night about habits and forming new habits while letting go of old habits. It real

Day 3 & 4
Day 3 DOMS are hitting hard from the first couple of workouts I did post-holiday, however a quick 35 minute walk this morning seemed to loosen everything up (that is, until I had to take my shirt off over my head!). I've had a couple of conversations about this liver-loving journey I’m on and it was good to explain it to a few people. It was interesting to go over a few foods that you generally think would be ok to eat, but when it comes to getting back to basics and cutting

Day 2 - The Struggle is Real
I feel like I’ve been hit by a bus. As my 5:30am alarm blares I lie for a bit and wonder what muscle in my body is actually able to move… Luckily my arm can because that alarm needed to be thrown out the window! Pity my husband had just put up fly screens on our bedroom windows so that couldn’t happen…. I still dragged myself out for my morning 45minute walk with the pooch. This is always my favourite way to start the day for a couple of reasons: Firstly the pooch is always S

Day 1 - The Start
Day one is always the easiest right? For anything! First day of your holiday is bliss – you can waste an hour patting your cat because you know you have your WHOLE holidays to do everything else required. First day of a new workout plan is ok, because it’s the next day the DOMS hit! Your first day at a new job is always exciting, but the second is the hardest because your brain feels like mush. Well I beg to differ when it comes to the first day of a new eating routine. Break
